European Remembrance Cluster Meeting
π Brussels | Comet Louise
Today, @the_nidus had the honour of representing the REMEMBER PROJECT at the European Remembrance Cluster Meeting, hosted by the EACEA and the European Commission πͺπΊποΈ
π‘ Our contribution took place in Breakout Room 2, focusing on:
“Holocaust and war crimes β disappearance of 20th century witnesses”
We explored pressing questions like:
πΉ How can we preserve memory as the last direct witnesses fade?
πΉ How do we engage the second generation and use digital tools effectively?
πΉ What good practices can be shared across Europe to safeguard testimonies?
π£οΈ A representative of @the_nidus served as rapporteur, summarizing insights and presenting a wrap-up of the session’s findings during the plenary.
π§ The broader agenda of the meeting included:
β Strategies to preserve shared memory and democratic values
β Collaboration among EU-funded remembrance projects
β Storytelling methodologies to counter disinformation
β Inclusive practices that amplify diverse community voices
β Practical workshops on educational tools and digital engagement
These discussions reaffirmed the importance of remembrance work in strengthening democratic resilience and social inclusion across Europe. ππ¬
We’re thankful for the opportunity to contribute and collaborate with such inspiring peers across the continent. Let’s keep memory alive β together. π«
