About the project

SaiL ON-line is a project that aims to empower youth workers across Europe with the knowledge and tools needed to understand and responsibly use Artificial Intelligence in their daily work. By bridging the gap between digital innovation and youth engagement, the project fosters awareness, ethical reflection, and skill-building that can shape more inclusive and future-ready communities.

The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, which supports education, training, youth and sport initiatives across Europe, fostering inclusion, cooperation and lifelong learning.

SaiL ON-line is an Erasmus+ project focused on equipping youth workers with essential knowledge and tools related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. In an increasingly digital society, this project empowers youth professionals to navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, while also preparing them to engage and support young people more effectively.

the_nidus participates as one of 12 partners from across Europe, joining efforts to create a learning environment that promotes ethical, responsible, and creative uses of technology in youth work.

Activities
The project features a five-day intensive mobility that includes:

  • Interactive sessions on AI and youth work
  • Non-formal learning methods (World Café, group discussions, simulations)
  • Mentoring and real-world AI project work
  • Post-mobility mentorship and follow-up support

Expected Impact
Youth workers will enhance their:

  • Understanding of AI technologies and ethical usage
  • Capacity to integrate digital tools into youth programs
  • Ability to co-create future AI-focused Erasmus+ projects
  • Knowledge of cross-sector collaboration in digital education

This project will directly impact youth organizations across 12 countries, empowering both staff and young people to adopt responsible digital practices.
